How do I copy family members I created in Sims 3? - thanking family

I have my perfect family, but my mother is nothing like it. Is it possible to charge the other 4 sims, as they are and do it again? I really do not want my family out of nowhere, it was quite difficult to start. I realized it was a "Save" button, but unfortunately have saved my family.
